Today Alison is a bright ten year old child. "Three years ago she was diagnosed with Leukemia. Thanks to the medical team she is today alive and possibly cured," said her parents; "However this would probably not have happened if those generous people, blood donors had not given her blood and platelets during the the very dark and critical days of her desease."
"Thinking back its amazing what you take for granted," says her father. We just expect blood to be there for the transfusions. We never actually think about the process invloved in ensuring its availability. "We would like to thank blood donors without whose generosity none of this would be possible."

"I have decided to write this letter to show you my gratitude for your kindness and good will, as I can never thank you personally. Although my son did not make it, you have given us the opportunity to spend more precious time together, and helped to prolong his life. You were his heroes! It would not have been possible for my son to live the last two and a half months of his life, without your generosity.
Although I can never repay you for your kind gesture, you will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
May God give you all your hearts' desires.
Thank you once again. "
