Gozo General Hospital, Blood Donation Department opens from 8.00 a.m to 11.30 a.m from Mondays to Fridays, and Saturday, from 8.00 a.m till 11.00 a.m. The centre is linked with the National Blood Transfusion Service in Malta, via a computer system. All the blood collected is sent to the National Blood Transfusion Service (Malta) for testing and processing.
Every 5 weeks, nurses and a doctor from Malta open the Gozo Blood Donation Department on a Sunday to reach those donors who are unable to donate blood on weekdays. For details view schedule. |
