Analysis of Data

Data on reported communicable disease are entered on Microsoft Access database and analysed.

Control and Prevention Medical officers of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Unit investigate all reported cases. Any necessary environmental action is coordinated through health inspectors within the Health Inspectorate. This mostly involves the Food Safety Unit and the Environmental Health Unit. The Chest Unit is responsible for data collection in cases of tuberculosis. It also carries out public health preventive measures related to tuberculosis including screening.
